We are going to have HIP's first ever "free enterprise" day for families. We'll let the kids create and run a small 'business' while the adults and little ones become their customers. They'll learn tons about what it takes to create a business that works, and we'll all have a great time watching them do it.
What is this HIP Fall Market about? What should I expect? Why would I want to come? If you've asked yourself any of these questions be sure to watch the two videos below!! DISCLAIMER:: I filmed and edited these videos using some really advanced equipment (LOL...my husband's iPhone and iMovie). Seriously I'm pretty lame when it comes to this type of thing...so don't laugh too hard at my fabulous shooting and editing skills. I know the transistions I used to edit them a bit are pretty awesome. Enjoy!!

The HIP HARVEST MARKET SCHEDULE:

12-12:30 Arrival time
12:30-1:00 Lunch
1:00 Announce contest winners for chili/soup and dessert
1:00-2:40 Market (each child/family selling things)
2:40-3:00 Debrief Market Analysis for all who would like to participate
3:00-3:15 Choir Performance
3:15 Raffle
3:15-4:00 Popcorn, cotton candy, family pictures, karaoke, face painting, dance lessons
The moon bouncer will be available the whole time!
Please bring:
1. a soup or chili (with utensils) Please label your items with your name
2. a dessert (with serving utensils)
3. a blanket or small table to set your "lemon aid stand" (what you are selling)
4. a few dollars in coins to buy things at the stands
Please invite your friends and family so we have a great turn out to support our children.
So what now? Get your creative juices flowing, and think of an idea or two for your HIP HARVEST Business, and experience first hand what a free enterprise is all about!!
How to prepare if you want to have a Market Business:
- Decide if you want to have a family business or individual business.
- Once you've decided on that, come up with a service, food, or product that you want to sell.
- Start creating your product NOW so that you'll be prepared to sell it on November 14th.
- Fill out the HIP HARVEST MARKET business license form (which will be online soon) so you'll be offical for the 14th.
- Have a blast making and preparing for your business.
- Come on the 14th with a table, blanket, or whatever set up items you will need for your business.
- Bring a little money and enjoy not only selling your items but purchasing others as well!!
