A guide for new homeschoolers
Welcome to the Newbie Kit section of the HIP Connect website!
Are you feeling confused or not so sure what the next steps are that you should take. Well you are not alone most of us have all felt these same feelings.
Leadership Educational principles are found in tons of books and articles across the world, however, most of us still wonder where to start. So here is a little list of suggestions from many experienced families on how the make the first year successful!
7 EASY STEPS to staying HIP your first year!!
1 For the next week write down every thought that comes into your mind about homeschooling. For example questions, concerns, feelings, what you like about homeschooing, and the vision you see in doing this.
It's a good idea to set aside some time to think about and write down your thoughts. However, don't be surprised when at random moments thoughts pop into you head that you'll also want to include on your list. The important thing is to get them down on paper! Write down every random thought, fear, feeling, and hope you have on the subject.
You may want to include your spouse and any of your older children that would be interested in this experience as well.
You're probably asking yourself why this is important to helping you have a successful first year...right? Well, let me tell you! By writing all your thoughts down you'll be able to see more clearly (right from the beginning of your homeschooling experience) why you choose this path which remind you what's really important on that crazy day when you can't remember why you don't just send your kids to school. You'll also be amazed how over time answers will come to your questions, peace will eliminate your fears, and hope will increase your ability to inspire your children (and yourself) to achieve a Leadership Education.
So grab a piece of paper and start writing it all down!!
