This Saturday HIP hosted a fabulous Parenting Seminar, by the amazing Nicholeen Peck.  She really is incredible, and what she teaches can really change your life if you let it.  I still remember the first time I heard her talk about teaching your kids (and as I later found out...yourself) to govern themselves.  WOW!!  What an amazing concept.  However, I think what surprised me the most was when I realized she was teaching me so much more than parenting skills!  All of the sudden it hit me that she was helping me in my progression to become the person I am trying be.  She has helped me increase my effectiveness in creating a home culture that is full of love, joy, peace, and order.  She has given me skills, knowledge, and an increased vision that helps me stay focused that I am raising 6 children who I know can become amazing adults. 

She's reminded me the importance of order, cause and effect, and consistency in life.  And she's changed my life by empowering me with more skills, increased knowledge, and a deeper wisdom which has increased my confidence that I can be the parent, person, and wife that I am working towards.  When I get overwhelmed I just sit down, and think about my family's 20 year vision that Nicholeen encouraged me to dream about, and I know that life is going great and that each day I'm getting closer to that amazing Christmas Party my family is going to have in 20 years.
